The Sun Queen is inspired by the true story of Julie d'Aubigny - a woman who ignited revolution in the heart of France.

A female musketeer, rule-breaker, and passionate lover, Julie flourished in the opulent court of Versailles, under the rule of King Louis XIV. She burnt down a convent in the name of love, was imprisoned on Château d’If where she incited a riot, and rose to fame as Paris Opera’s celebrated diva, La Maupin.

This work is currently in the final stages of development for stage and screen.
