About the Ensemble
In 2009, Tarita Botsman founded The 7 Sopranos — creating a group that combined the voices of seven classically trained opera singers on stage. Audiences were immediately enthralled by their repertoire, voices and style.
The ensemble brought something entirely new to Australian audiences: the sheer spectacle and emotional power of seven soprano voices united on a single stage, performing everything from beloved operatic arias to timeless popular classics.
The 7 Sopranos also created a fantastic opportunity for young opera singers to continue to perform and grow — a platform for extraordinary talent that might otherwise go unheard.
The ensemble has released two albums and toured nationally to sold-out audiences. Their website offers further information on upcoming performances and bookings.
